Gyoseki株式会社は、Point72、ナウキャスト、SCRIPTS Asia、三井住友トラスト・アセットマネジメント、松尾研究所のパートナー企業及び、東京証券取引所、東京都、Union of Student Investment Clubs (USIC)のご後援団体と共に、大学生を対象としたファンダメンタル分析のスキルを競う、第３回Gyoseki大会の開催を発表いたします。金融分野でチャレンジしたい大学生・大学院生の皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。

参加のメリット
ファンダメンタル分析は、投資戦略において重要な役割を果たします。例えば、割引キャッシュフロー（DCF）モデルをはじめとした目標株価の算出方法は、将来の収益予想に基づいています。ファンダメンタル分析方法は、過去のケーススタディから学ぶことも有益ですが、常に結果論バイアスも生じます。実際の投資判断をするには限られた情報を基に未来を予測する必要があり、そのスキルは実践によって鍛えられます。

実践的な投資体験
参加者は、実際の投資家が使用するデータを用い、企業の収益を予測します。この過程で得られるスキルは、長期投資を行う機関投資家だけでなく、コンサルティングや経営企画など幅広い職業分野でも役立ちます。

参加者は、対象企業が開示するIR資料や、SCRIPTS Asiaが提供する詳細な投資家向けイベントの議事録、ナウキャストが提供する市場データなど、機関投資家が利用する公開情報を分析し、将来の収益を予測します。さらに、パートナー企業のプロフェッショナルとの交流会を通じて、投資プロセスにおける付加価値の創出に貢献する幅広いスキルセットやサービスについて学ぶ機会も得られます。

Calling University Students to Showcase Their Fundamental Analysis Skills

Gyoseki Co., Ltd. is excited to announce the 3rd Gyoseki Competition, an event where university students can showcase their fundamental analysis skills. We are proud to collaborate with our partners Point72, Nowcast, SCRIPTS Asia, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Asset Management, and the Matsuo Institute. In addition, we are honored to have support from the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and the Union of Student Investment Clubs (USIC). We invite undergraduate and graduate students who are eager to challenge themselves in the field of finance to participate in this unique opportunity.

Why Participate?
Fundamental analysis plays a crucial role in investment strategies. Methods used to calculate target prices, including the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) model, rely on forward-looking earnings forecasts. While learning this skill from historical case studies offers valuable insights, it can introduce hindsight bias. The skill lies in confidently forecasting future performance using real-time, limited information - a capability that is developed through hands-on experience.

Real-World Investment Experience
In this competition, participants will step into the role of fundamental analysts, forecasting corporate earnings based on thorough research and analysis. The skills developed through this process are not only essential for institutional investors but are also highly applicable in fields such as consulting and corporate strategy.

Participants will use publicly available data that institutional investors rely on, such as investor relations (IR) materials from the target companies, detailed minutes from investor events provided by SCRIPTS Asia, and market data from Nowcast. In addition, they will have the opportunity to interact directly with professionals from our partner companies, gaining insights into the diverse skill sets and services that create value throughout the investment process.
